2025 in Moments: A Resume of a Beautiful Year
In the spirit of organization (and my finance brain), I want to give you a "resume" of 2025. It wasn't just about dates on a calendar, but about the chapters we closed and the new ones we started writing.
The Highlights Reel
Friendship & Roots: January started with a celebration at my friend Lety's place—surrounded by friends—to celebrate her becoming a Canadian resident 🇨🇦. It was the perfect way to ring in a year of gratitude.
The Mini-Entrepreneur: In April, Eliana launched Simply Banana Bread. It’s been such a proud moment to watch her grasp the value of money. She isn't just baking; she loves earning her own money and even treating us by paying for family dinners. (Future CFO in the making?)
The "Comeback" Run: In May, I ran my first 10K in Ottawa. For context: I was once a "crazy runner"—I went almost two years without missing a day! Then, from 2023 to 2024, I fell into a "mediocre runner" phase. This race was my attempt to get back on track. While I didn't quite return to my daily streak, crossing that finish line and holding that medal felt amazing.
Career Shifts: July marked the end of my time as Manager at Pain d’Épi. It was time to close that chapter to start a new role at GoGo Quinoa. But looking ahead, the wheels are turning... I have plans to step fully into entrepreneurship very soon.
Family & Travel: We kept our passports busy! From family time in Valladolid and Playa del Carmen, to Nana’s 100th birthday in August, and ending the year back in Mexico.
Hello, 2026
2025 was full, but I am ready to dial it in for 2026. My goal this year is simple but powerful: I want to reclaim the energy I had back in 2021. I am aiming for a healthier version of Fabi and getting my new business off the ground.
Here is to regaining our momentum. 🥂
- Love, Fabi
test :)
